Otter Blogg!

Great Success

To all of you who managed to come by the Tasting Lounge at Art on the Ave yesterday, thank you for dropping in! We had an awesome time, gave out at least 800 tastings of our beers, and we made a lot of new friends.

We can’t wait to get up and running so that we can be part of the Tacoma community – we’re thrilled by the reception we got, and we can’t wait to meet more of you! Keep watching our Facebook, Twitter, and our blog here for upcoming news and events regarding our progress toward opening our doors.

Some fun things happening:
– Fermenters arriving this week (we are pretty certain, at least)
– Planning for Brew-5-3 has commenced!
– Finishing our bar at the space soon

If you happen to be in the area around 716 Pacific Ave. Tacoma, WA 98402, stop on in and say hi. We’d love to meet you and show you around!

Independence Day and Independent Beer

Happy 4th to all of you!

As we all meditate on what Independence Day means for us, for our families, and for the world, consider also what it means to be independent in other ways. Independence means that you can choose to be whomever you wish to be, that you can go where you want to go, and that you can represent yourself how you wish to represent yourself.

We hope that you all have a meaningful, patriotic, and splendidly explosive (but safe) 4th of July. Get yourself a pint of craft beer from a local brewery to celebrate, and help promote the kind of independence that we are creating here at Odd Otter.
