Doing Good Things!

We believe it’s important to help out when we can. There are a lot of people out there who need help, so we regularly hold fundraisers for worthy causes at the brewery, and give our customers the opportunity to help us do some good in the world!

March Music Madness is coming… and St. Patrick’s Day and Pint Club Launch and an MDA Fundraiser and Paints and Pints! Whew!

March is shaping up to be a busy month here at OOBC!  We’ve got a lot on the calendar and hope you’ll join us…  so, here goes!

You’ve heard of March Madness…  you know, the NCAA basketball stuff?  Well, around here we are introducing a month of Mondays with new musical performers for your listening pleasure!  Partner that with our craft beer, guest ciders, and Otter Hour (that’s happy hour in case you didn’t know) and you’ve got yourself a reason to wake up on Mondays!

So!  Here’s the line up for the OOBC March Music Madness every Monday in March from 7pm-9pm:

3/6 – Tim Monaghan

3/13 – Gina Belleveau

3/20 – Kristen Marlo

3/27- Champagne Sunday

And even better: it’s Happy Otter Hour all day!

Come out and support your local artists as well as your local breweries!

St. Patrick’s Day!  Are you ready?  We’ve got green beer, cool shirts, and KIM ARCHER!  Kim will be rockin’ the house from 8-10pm and we cannot wait!  ANNNNND, it’s our Pint Club 2017 launch!  Cheers to all our new and returning Pint Clubbers!  Woot!

On March 27th we not only have Champagne Sunday performing, but we are also hosting a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Western Washington.  We will be donating 10% of tasting room sales and 50% of raffle ticket sales to this great and worthy cause!  Please join us!

And finally…  on 3/30 from 6-8pm, we will be hosting our second Paints and Pints with Uncorked Canvas!  We can only accommodate 25 painters so reserve your seat as soon as possible at https://uncorkedcanvas.com/event-registration/?ee=2548

Whew!  Did you get all that?  We hope so!  And we hope to see you around the tasting room!  Thanks again for being such awesome, loyal otters!

Veteran’s Day Fisher House Benefit

veterans-day-otter

As a Veteran owned brewery we are passionate about giving back to the military community.  On this Veteran’s Day we are choosing to support the Fisher House of Joint Base Lewis McChord.  Fisher House believes in providing families a comforting, secure, and nurturing environment while receiving care at Madigan Army Medical Center.

So, how can we help?  Easy peasy!

On 11/11/2016 from 6-10pm:

The Fisher House is currently in need of the following items and by donating them you will receive a rafftle ticket:

Laundry Soap (who doesn’t love clean clothes?)

Fabric Softener (and soft clean clothes at that?)

Individually wrapped snacks (don’t we all stress eat?)

We will donate 50% of raffle ticket sales, and 10% of tasting rooms sales, during the hours of 6-10pm to the Fisher House.

So, what are we raffling off?  Glad you asked! Gift cards and beer swag, friends!  You know what?  The holidays are upon us and everyone loves the gift of beer swag!

So, drink up! We firmly believe that drinking for a cause tastes soooo much better!

Hurricane Matthew Relief Event

Giving back to the community, whether it be near or far, is something very near and dear to our hearts.  Recently, Haiti was once again devastated by Mother Nature, and more specifically, Hurricane Matthew.  We are coming together to help that community by partnering with MedShare, a humanitarian aid organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of people, communities, and the planet by sourcing and delivering medical supplies and equipment to those in need around the world.  There are currently 175,000 people who were evacuated from their homes and 1.4 million in need of humanitarian aid.  Let’s help them by raising pints and buying raffles (beer swag, folks)!

On 10/20, from 6-10pm we will be donating a portion of tasting room and raffle sales to help Haiti.  Let’s do this!

For more information about MedShare, and their efforts to assist the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti, please visit:  http://www.medshare.org/hurricane-matthew/

We hope to see you in the tasting room!

Ps.  We hear Momma Otter’s Pancake Porter is making a special appearance.  You’re welcome!
